Has anyone been down the
powerline trek in Sawyers valley recently (last week or so). I want to introduce my freind (who has just bought his 4by) to Mud, but I don't want him to get swollowed up! LOL
I imagine it would be quite slippery up there at the moment...
I've taken him through some sand and trails and stuff so far, just thought this could be the next step.

Jeff,
i was up there on sunday, its pretty tame at the moment as we havent had that much rain. there are a few puddles here and there, but nothing you can not drive around if you wanted to.

There are chicken tracks around the hard bits so should be ok ,don't drive through
the big hole on the right hand side and the end of the track (
York end) without checking the depth first is a bit hole and getting deeper (its called the Surf eater)LOL

LMAO, ok mate, I'll see if someone up there with a GU will go through it first, then while it's getting knackered digesting the Nissan I'll drive over the top of it. LOL
Oh
well, sounds like I should be hoping for some more rain before I take him up there, I wouldn't mind seeing him get bogged, wear his newby ego down a little! HA. (now I've said that I'll probally be being towed out by the daihatsu...)

Oh yeah, you've got a GU hey Troy! LOL
Man I'm getting myself in heaps trouble today!LMAO
Yeah I might see if I can swing Benny around to doing the sawyers trip instead of the Pinjar one so we can get some mud on the tyres. :-)
I've told him already that he's got to put some more serious scratchs on the Daihatsu so people don't think it's a "hair dresser's" car! Hee hee hee.
I took him down some track the other weekend that were screeeeeeching the sides of the surf, trouble is they probally weren't even touch the sides of the frozi!
you still keen for Sunday the 4th July?

Jeff,
if you want to get bogged, when you hit west
talbot rd turn right until you see a
clearing with a WAWA sign. There should be a track near this. This leasds to alot of swampy/ black soil areas where you can have some fun.
I believe there is also a track that leads into this from the powerline track before you hit west
talbot rd.
have fun

Ooo, I don't know if your petrol patrol will be ok up there Uppy, I've been re-thinking the trip myself too, I'm so scared to take my IFS 4wd off the tar, it's probally going to get stuck and fall apart.
Hey, did you have your rig on channel 19 this morning? I couldn't get a hold of you.
