Hi, looking to mount a fan(s) in our caravan and would welcome some input. Makes, models and prices vary considerably. Caframo Sirocco appear to be the most expensive around $140 for the basic model and $300+ for the brushless motor model. Then we drop down to "Tinker" and "Fantastic" for under $50. With such a wide price variation I am wondering if it is relative to the performance and reliability. Looking forward to learning of your experiences.
Cheers

Caframo Sirocco has been great. Pretty easy to mount and very effective. We haven't got the latest brushless model. What we have works a treat.
Cheers

The Sirocco is a quality product...importantly, it’s quiet on the lower of 3 speeds when you are trying to sleep on a hot night (there is a selectable delay for auto switch-off too). While not having oscillation, it can be directed anywhere...and it
swings away flat when not in use. As for price...it’s ‘up there’ alright, compared to many other consumer goods. Might be due to it being developed for yachties with the big $ ??. Re the Fantastic...an excellent appliance that we use a lot, but a different application to the Sirocco. Mainly used for overall interior air refreshing (multi speed, in and out flow), we found it too noisy for sleeping.

I just use a 240v $15 oscillating floor fan from the Reject
Shop ($35 for a remote control version). I power it from a $75 Pure Sine Wave 300w inverter - so all up less than $100 and the inverter also powers small stuff.

I use a 10 inch Coleman lithium ion rechargeable portable fan, works on 12/240 or battery. Another option for you.
