Hey guys , recently bought a 1994 75 series 1Fz-fe 4.5 litre Ute. It’s got 375,000 on the clock and was wondering what would be the best engine to replace with when it comes to engine rebuild for better performance and not a guzzler for fuel . Any tips with $$ would be greatly appreciated

Get it rebuilt for performance, ( balanced and weighted , cam ) make it go as good as they sound, and stuff the fuel economy that’s overrated anyway.
I’m glad I don’t own one , it’d cost me heaps.

Research the engine you have first. They don’t make a bad competition race engine.
