Hi everyone

I am very new to Exploroz maps. Downloaded the app on to my iPhone 12.

The problem I am having is when I open the app the phone slows down considerably. Takes a very long time for the maps to load.

Anyone else had this problem?

No Problem on iphone Xs.
Have noticed an issue with sharing of GPS between apps though. My birding app was unable to provide a gps location whilst tracker was still running.

Are you using on-line or off-line maps.

Online can take a while to download and display tiles as you move around and zoom.

Off line can be faster in that regard.

Have you downloaded the off-line maps?

I have an iPhone 12, and yeh, map rendering is quite slow particularly in areas with a lot of detail. This is with online or offline maps.

I run it on my iPhone 11. 64gb with 10gb free space

I have deleted the 2019 map pack and just have the new 2021

The map loads almost instantly from a place search or just dragging or zooming to level 18 from much lower zooms
I also have all the layers including poi and treks and logs

Online is similar but not quite as instant

"I have deleted the 2019 map pack and just have the new 2021"

Yes, there is not much point keeping memory cluttered with the 2019 map pack if you have purchased EOTopo 2021. There is nothing in 2019 that 2021 hasn't got plus 2021 has all the features that have already been discussed.

The online and offline versions of EOTopo 2021 are identical, so I agree, just run with the offline and eliminate the online lag.
