Every so often, our government actually does something with our taxes that provides a free benefit. Not often, but one is worthy of mention.

While most here are probably already aware of it, the Aust Department of Health have a "dunny-finder" app for smartphones. We have been checking it out in SA while touring around, and find it accurate and most useful.

The only requirement is that you need to be able to access the net for the app to check its database.

I'm sure they don't call the App that but Exploroz may have it on their maps. I'm not sure if they do but if not, there are plenty of Apps you can use off-line that show Toilets close to you in distance from you in a radius. Michael

ExplorOz (and others) may well have the info, but that will invariably be dated. This is a LIVE database.

From a quick look it looks like they don't necessarily include Rest Areas with toilets. So may be useless for travellers. Thankfully we carry our own. Otherwise I find Wikicamps more reliable.

They also don't include toilets at train stations.
