Along the track from
Cameron Corner to the Merty Merty turn off there is an old, yellow double decker bus beside the track. We passed that way in 2002 and took many photos. I am wondering if any one knows the history of this bus, ie, how, when, why, and what it was used for, Are there any web sights with its history.
Thanks All, just wondering.

I know the bus, but havn't got any clue about it's history, altho my neighbour showed me some videos of when they went to the corner roughly 15 years ago and it was there then. I'd like to know a bit more about it as
well, it's remarkable how far along those roads it has gone

I went through there in 1978 and it was there then. I think it was used by as a mustering / droving
camp.

I assume this is the bus near the turnoff to Bollards Lagoon. You will find reference to it in "Desesrt Tracks" by
John Johnson and Catherine de Courcy. According to the book it was set up as a shooters'
camp,
John doesn't say when though.
Cheers

I was told by a local in the late 80's that this was the
home of a local fencing contractor. He used to move around from town to town etc. Apparently he had a large contract in the local vicinity of where it sits today which I guess was it's final trip. At the time I as told dates etc but can't remember now.
