Hi, does anyone know of a decent butcher in Katherine who will cryvac supplies - we need to organise provisions for about 3 weeks in Arnhem Land.
Previously have only used the supermarket option in Katherine.
But hoping there might be something similar to Milners in Alice Springs, who are fantastic if you're preparing supplies for a remote journey.
Thanks

Hi,
The best meat around Katherine is Jones Meat Mart, 7 Crawford Street, Katherine. It is in the Industrial area, coming from Mataranka.
We have bought and had meat cryovaced there 3 times in several years. They are very helpful and not over priced.

Jones butchers for sure. Top quality meat and will pack to your specs. Used to buy all the time when working in the area. Also use to bulk buy and take home to Gove. Many others from the town of Gove also bought bulk meat from Jones.

Hi Wildmax,

Why not buy your own Vacuum Sealer? We have a Dometic Vacuum Sealer, runs on both 12 & 240 volt power supplies. We take it with us every time we go away.

Yes we do have our own vacuum sealer, and use it when we can't find a co-operative butcher. I was mainly chasing recommendations for the best butcher instead of using supermarket.
Cheers
