Hey, just wondering if anyone has travelled the K1 Line in recent years as thinking of doing it in August !
The K1 Line runs north south on the eastern side of the Simpson Desert.

Few corrugatkons, mainly on northern end. Noticed some water further down on recent FB posts but you should be right now.
Good drive, and some good camps through the gidgea.

Bob.

Can't remember most of it.

Thanks Bob, Sounds good. We would be entering from the south via the Birdsville track. Our first challenge may be getting over the Warburton River if its been raining ! lol I won't be towing but a couple of other may be towing campers with 200 series so guessing they should get along the track alright ?? Cheers, David

Warburton Crossing has been open, the Desert Parks Bulletin April . . .

DESERT PARKS BULLETIN

I guess ring Mt Dare, or maybe the Birdsville visitors centre to double check before heading off.

K1 follows mostly dune corridors, so pretty straight forward to Poeppel Cnr or any of the lines.
