Hi all,
I finally managed to get around to driving the Cashman Track just north of Lake Barlee.
I've been eyeing off the track for many years.
It's definitely worth a drive even if you just want to get from one side of the lake to the other (Youanmi Lake Barlee Road to
Sandstone Menzies Road).
Here's a short video of the experience.
I have put the
places into the EO
places database.
Cheers
Alan

Nice country.
That cairn is an impressive build. Not just the usual pile of rocks. Still standing after 120-odd years.
Would be hard to get a letterbox to last that long these days.
Cheers

It is a great Cairn - I was quite excited when I first saw it; then to see that the engraving on the pole matched what the old map indicated was extra special.

Here's a link (hope the link works) to a trip I did with George (from America) back in October 2012 of the same region.

Thanks Phil,
It's a great pool - I've already put my feelers out to see if I can find any descendants of Colreavy. They would love this.
Cheers
