Thinking of heading up to
Drysdale River &
Kalumburu late August.
Anyone know if these areas are open with regards to COVID???

Last I heard was that
Drysdale River was partially open and you can drive through
Kalumburu but can not stop at the township.

Hi Siringo,
Contact the
Drysdale River Station, they should be able to give the info you are chasing. The last I heard, (a couple of weeks ago),
Honeymoon Bay is taking bookings.

I spoke to
Honeymoon Bay this morning. Camping is available, no fishing or cultural tours available ATM.
Kalumburu is still closed including fuel. You still need to get your
Kalumburu access pass to drive through the community to get to
Honeymoon Bay and you also need to get a road access permit from the Shire of East
Kimberley to drive north beyond the
Mitchell Falls Rd.
Pfizer jabs have arrived in
Kalumburu and once the community has had their jabs then maybe they will open to the public?
