Hi Guy's
All the roads in the East Pilbara Shire are in good condition at the moment as they have been freshly graded or perhaps I should have said most of them . Part of the Skulls Springs road is still closed due to flood damage but is ok by 4x4 met guy at Carrawine who had towed trailer through .The track across to Nifty & Woody Woody from the road up through centre of Rudall River is not navigable at the moment .Talawana track has just been graded &flood damage repaired to Cotton Creek .All tracks in park are badly flood damaged & are very slow going & quite difficult to negotiate would not advise taking a trailer in . Cotton Creek community is a credit to the management of Steve Shilkins & his staff , fuel is available also a good range of healthy food & vege although depends a bit on when truck gets in , is best to ring first to make arrangements . Just dont be in a hurry when you go there as it does not happen quickly .
Hope this cover's most of it .
Cheers Dingdong .

I am heading that way in September. You didn't notice if Unleaded fuel is available at Cotton Creek? Or that one may be able to order it in? Otherwise I would have to backtrack to Kunawaritji to refuel again.

You may be able to organise unleaded by arrangement. They got in a drum of super for me a few years ago (1998) without any problems.

Ditto conditions in Rudall area. I just got back, took a trailer in there - no probs.
Had the place to ourselves for a while too!.
Have conflicting info re Telfer Road Tho'.
This site has Telfer Rd closed, 2nd hand info from a Rav4 Driver (do me a favour!!), said road washed out badly in places, HOWEVER, Police in Marble Bar advise road open (repaired) and trucks are up and down it all day !! Go figure....

PS, Great spot that Rudall, shame about the Carrawine tho' - quite devastated.!!

dont backtrack from Parnngurr (Cotton Creek) to Kunawarritji for fuel unless thats the way you're going. Newman's under 4 hours away on a good road.

Better still - as you said - talk to Steve at Parnngurr and see what he can do.

cheers
