PointPlace is the place to go to swap, map and share GPS plot and waypoint digital data. PointPlace also manages the dynamic trek note mapping and all ExplorOz digital data is being transfered into this area of the site. Have a look at the Menu under Trip Planning - Select Digital Mapping Data.

hi David, just a query on pointplace while you're there. When logged on and I click on a point on a map, " creating new map " message appears and then nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong ?
Regards,
Michael

Michael,
There was a bug - I found it a week ago and promptly forgot about it. I have just fixed it however all the maps need to be re-created. I am also noticiing a problem in system performance when the maps are being computed - it is a very CPU intensive function and it is causing the site to appear to hang during map file creation and some of the big maps take about 30 secs to generate (it only has to be done once per map however it is a pain). I will need to make some more code adjustments to allow the process to let in other functions during map generation.
Anyway in the mean time we will get the maps re-generated and they will all work fine in the map view zoom in/out stuff. If there is a map you want to view just use the create map if I have not got to it before you.

Michael and others,
I have just completed the rebuild of all the maps in the PlotSwap system and the iMapPlot mapping system now zooms and pans and does everyting correctly.
Thanks for reporting the problem Michael I wish others would do the same.
