We are travelling from NSW via
Hay,
Renmark,
Port Augusta, Nullarbor, over to WA, and are wondering where the checkpoints are for fruit etc.
With this knowledge we will be able to buy our supplies accordingly.
Thanks for a great website.

Malcom, do not attempt to bring any fruit, vegetables or plants that are not processed as they will be confiscated when you cross the border into SA. W.A. has even higher restrictions with honey as
well as the above not being allowed to be carried. This extends to corrugated cardboard boxes and styrene boxes that have been used to store fruit and vegies. You should contact W.A. agriculture dept for more info.

Malcolm,
There is a fruit fly zone thatcuts the highway some where between
Hay and
Balranald in NSW. There is also a permant chech point at Border village on the
SA/WA border. As regards what can be carried I am not sure but I know it is stricter when entering WA than on entering SA.
Hope this helps. Cashy

Malcolm,
I can't remember the website, but have a look at NSW Agriculture, it will give you a list of what cannot be taken into areas, a rough map of the exclusion zone, links to other states and email contacts for those states.
Hope this helps
