Deleting old map

I have EO Topo 2019 & 2021 on my computer. Is is possible to delete 2019 without deleting 2021?

To be honest I don’t actually remember, but if you go into data manager you can only delete one map set at a time, the first will be black rather than grey.

When i look in Data Mgr it shows green ticks against EOTopo 2019 & 2021. LoRes, HiRes, & XHiRes packs all have Version 2021 next to them & the delete buttons do not show an option to delete 2019.
Likewise in settings under the App Resets header, there is are option to clear the main DataBase but no option to select 2019 map.
Thanks for replying. If no one else knows how to do it I will delete both maps & reinstall later today.

That’s interesting, can’t remember it being difficult though, perhaps I dumped the lot and started again???

Clearing the main data base will only clear places, treks , comments etc.

Clearing the maps data base will clear the offline maps.

If no one can help shortly maybe drop Michelle a line at the help desk.

Good luck

When I installed ExplorOz I didn't bother installing the 2019 maps as the 2021 are updated versions of them.
So I can't see any reason why uninstalling 2019 maps would cause any problems.

Yes Dick,

Certainly won’t cause any problems. I had both for a while then dumped the 2019 maps. IMHO they just aren’t required with the 2021 maps being so much better.

You will need to look a bit closer at data manager, you will see a little eye to the right of the single line reference to the 2019 maps , tap it and all will become clear.

Thank you Wicket. Michelle helped me out earlier. That was the problem. I didn't even notice the 2019 "eye" All sorted now.

Michael,

"Is is possible to delete 2019 without deleting 2021?"

Yes it is. I just checked on an old device that has both 2019 and 2021 maps installed.

Go to Data Manager. The 2019 and 2021 map packs are listed separately. Use the black buttons to delete the maps you don't need. Once you've deleted the East, West and Central packs the grey buttons for the 577k and Base packs will turn black and you'll be able to deleted those as well.

In Data Manager the 2019 maps are listed below the 2021 files.
You may need to tap on the "eye" icon to make them visible.
