Hi Guys,
Looking for any photos of canopy's you have put on your utes. We have just purchased a RAM 1500 and having the GVM upgraded to allow for the fitting of a canopy with side doors. Hoping to put the tyres behind the cab and then the canopy to replace the ute body. Finding it hard to find photo of spare tyres caged in behind the cab. If anyone wonders why we are upgrading the GVM the payload of RAMs is only 840kg even though it can tow 4.5. So not much left if we put a canopy on and don't up the GVM.
Thanks

Dynamic Engineering, in Hervey Bay, do excellent work. Have a look here.

Steelware, in Mt Isa, make these trays for station utes, with the 2 spares in a compartment at front of the tray. Rydweld, in Townsville, would probably make a similar tray too?

Just going through some old memories & found this spare tyre thingy. May have been a prototype, by Boss Aluminium, in Melbourne.

As a matter of interest what will be the GVM of the vehicle after the upgrade?
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

I carry the spare tyres and 200L water tank mounted to the front wall of the Ram canopy to keep the weight forward of the rear axle. Tyres mounted on the rear of a canopy cane cause a overloaded problem on the rear axle.
