Idler Chris
If I put a sticker on my vehicle for every place I have visited in my travels around Oz you would not be able to tell what colour it was. However I only have two stickers on my vehicle, and both of them are for Urandangie in western Queensland. The first time I visited there, I was travelling north in western Queensland heading for Mt Isa. At that time it was a rough and very uninviting place and a nice lady named Pam had recently brought the pub. I have lost count of times I have been back since then as now it is a very different and interesting place thanks to the hard work of Pam. It is
well worth a visit.
Her health has prevented her from continuing with the pub which will be a great loss to the locals. Pam is an inspirational character and I wish her all the best for the future.
Here is a link to an ABC story about Pam and her achievements.

Not such an easy place to find when you come off the sandover, not a sign in sight and a labyrinth of 2 wheel tracks.
One of the few times the compass come in handy.
Agree the pub was a great stopover.

Thanks for the link Chris. I have a good friend who will be very interested, although her time in the field there predates Pam considerably.
