Hi GezMate,

I am not a tech. guru, but I do not think that would be possible. I believe that the device would need to have the app loaded onto it for it to work. If your device has “Apple car play” or the Android equivalent, it might work, as it would be using your phone to actually display the app. Michele would be best to answer this one.

It won't work.

the only way it will work is if you have an Android head unit. No Factory unit will work with EO or any other map.

A nice implemention of EO on Carplay and AA woudl be neat.

Hello

Briste was replying to comment directly above by Boobook which stated "A nice implemention of EO on Carplay and AA woudl be neat."

Briste's response - "Yes it would".

Case closed :)

Cheers

Thanks Explorer. Just seemed a bit short and sharp.

Appreciated.

There was a recent thread about Android Auto. Michelle made the views of EO quite clear. I wanted to support Tony, but there wasn't any point in flogging a dead horse so I kept it short. Sorry if it was too short.

I have my old second Gen wifi+Cellular iPad fully operational and hoping to introduce one of the applications above. I've right now got the Memory Map running with the preliminary nsw topo 1:25k guides on my iPad (required around 6 hours to do download the 13 gigs and I'm on NBN).. I wouldn't fret the connection point yet was needing to hear different thoughts on any of the hundred or so GPS applications out there before I bought my first arrangement of guides from Memory Map, I consider this to be a drawn out thing......cheers

Check out the system requirements for EO Traveller, I suspect that a second gen iPad won't meet them. My 2017 iPad mini didn't pass muster.
