transfer garmin waypoints

having trouble transferring waypoints between a dash mounted 128 & a hand held garmin II. can't get them to talk - any clues?

The manuals for the units will explain all - you will need to read them though!

Check the interface menu, both Garmins have to be on "Garmin to Garmin" interface or similar depending on model

Does it need to be done GPS to GPS? What about going from the 128 to a laptop and then to the Garmin II.
You can use the program G7ToWin available at:

of course if you are running the two GPS's on the road (or as many do in a comp where nav and driver have their own units) then this method is probrably not for you.
I usually find if two units are not talking to each other, I have the data lines reversed.
