Here I go again, I am using an iPad Air, 32GB,
available 20.28GB
Trying to download the HiRes pack, it will only download 1file at a time then crashes back to the MAP every time.
This has not happened before. I have deleted the app and reloaded but the same result happens each time
I would love to solve this problem, help would be appreciated,
Cheers, Baz

When downloading big files ios doesn’t like to have any other programs running so try closing everything that might be running in the background , including all notifications etc etc.

I think if you just shut down the device and restart, then restart Traveller and restart the download it will start from wherever it left off. Do this as often as required.

Thanks FrankP , yes tried all that, and yes it starts off where it left.
But 1 file at a time and 65 files not a good out come.
Cheers.

Baz
I think from memory a 32Gb iPad Air would only have 2 Gb of Ram, 3 at most which is the recommended minimum, IOS 12 is very old.
You could try updating IOS 12 to the latest IOS 15.3.1. Worth a try. If you only have 2 Gb of Ram not sure things would be that great anyway.

Baz, try just leaving it run, even if it seems to stop, all night. I was getting a bit frustrated with
mine, although it was downloading more than you are, so I just left it alone, and in the morning it had all loaded.
I had same as you, going back to the map.
Just set it downloading and go away !!
Cheers

I dragged an older spare iPhone out the other day. Traveller version 6 worked fine on it. Latest version won't load maps other than the low res.
It has IOS 15 but probably not enough RAM.
The low res maps will work OK in an emergency I guess.
Should have left things alone.
So if you have older hardware maybe avoid upgrading because you can't go back.
Cheers
