G'day Bonz,

New car... nope, I think it is the first model landcruiser bought into Oz to work on the Snowy Scheme.

I am in Singapore till the end of the month. Filling in here as navigation supervisor while the usual guy is in Houston. I'm off to Edinburgh, Scotland for a week doing a course in August, taking the mrs there for a 2 week holiday. Work picking up the tab for most of it. Will be back late august for about 3 weeks before heading off to Broome for a 5 week trip on the boat there.

Been busy over the last few months too as you know, off to NZ for 2 weeks, got married, back home for a week, off to Fiji for 2 week honeymoon, home for a week, then up to Fraser Island for a week and back through Carnarvon Gorge and Cameron Corner, Broken Hill, Murray river, 4 weeks on the road all up. Had about 2 more weeks off, then over here to Singapore. Got the mrs coming over here next week to keep me company for a week and break the time up being away from home.

Next 4wd trip will be 4wding up the snow for a weekend in August I reckon.

Wazza.

Ha ha yes I saw a bit of this - I liked the "deep sand", must have been 20 or 30mm deep at least! Towards the end they destroyed a tyre (and rim as well I think), low profile tyres and alloys don't seem to work too well in creek beds for some reason.

Cheers

i didnt like the fact that as pieces fell off these soft roaders, they decide to just leave them in the middle of the track for the next person to drive over, real smart, cause hell we wouldnt want to dirty our interiors with all that mud now would we, lucky it was only a piece of "protective plastic" and biodegradable to boot, ow bugger starting to sound like a greeny :os, but the least they can do is clean up after themselves.
