Hi Frank,

According to the manual :
"Clearing the Snail Trail does not delete your stored tracking data, just removes the line from the mapscreen."
If that is the case, what is the difference between unticking the snail trail visible box and clearing the snail trail?

The snail trail only shows you where you have been.

Untucking the box removes it from the map, you won’t see it until you turn it on again. (tick the box)

Clearing the snail trail just clears it from the map but will start up again as soon as you start moving.

Your mapping data is available regardless of whether you have the snail trail on or not.

I'm not sure we are on the same page because what you say doesn't add up. Maybe what you're trying to delete is no a snail trail. Could it be a Trek? Try unticking the Treks box in the map overlays.

When you say in the opening post you've "saved the map", what do you mean? The map is on yoour device, you don't save that. What actually are you saving?

You were actually looking at a trek / track that you have in a folder. You have two folders, with one of those folders turned on.

What you did is fine but that removes all your folders that are turned on from the map.

To turn on or of individual folders go to map layers. Turn on folders, ( which you have just turned off, circle with the tick in it), then tap on the text right beside the circle. If a folder is highlighted blue, it is turned on. Tap on it to turn it off .

You can see your folders by tapping the search tab directly above the map layers tab. Tapping on the named folder will sow you what you have in them.
