So I installed Oziexplorer to my head unit some time ago. I removed the battery when working on my ute and need to reactivate oziexplorer. But can't find my activation email. I have written to the people at invoicing who responded by supplying me a copy of my invoice. But they cannot help with resending my activation details. Fair enough. So how do I get my activiation details resent so I can re-install the software?

This
forum is ExploreOz, I don't think they can help you with a competitor's product.
However, try searching your emails using its search function. If you haven't deleted your old emails then it's likely that the activation email is still there.

I've always found Des at OziExplorer to be reasonable with licensing so if you sent him and email stating what has happened and your device ID he'll send you the code back I'm sure.

Still not in the App Store.
Des is hopeless.

Used it for many years with multiple changes of devices and never had any problem with Des updating my licence. Installing and updating a breeze with only once I had an issue which Des helped to find a conflict from another App.
Like here with
Exploroz Traveller not being compatible with Apple Carplay and Android auto, I understand Des's reluctance to make it as an App.
The only reason I'm moving over to Traveller is that these latest maps are no longer in a Oziexplorer format. I still prefer though the extensive configurability of Ozi with the associated Android screen designer.

Duncan 2H you can still get the latest maps for Oziexplorer. Google Get Lost. Excellent maps and being constantly updated.

Des doesn't believe in either Apple's or Google's business models and chooses to market his product in his own way. Sorry Duncan, that doesn't make him hopeless, IMO.

FrankP there's very good reasons users should avoid sideloading APKs from random software developers.

That is true, Duncan, but I wouldn't count OziExplorer or its developer as random. Yes, you have to be careful with APKs but the sound reputations of Ozi and Des
Newman are
well established.
Cheers

OziExplorer is probably the most used non military mapping software in the world, not just Oz.
