fuel lines exposed in wheel wells

Hi there!

I have LRA aux fuel tank installed in my prep to do crossing of simpson. I was surprised to see the filler pipe and some rubber fuel lines exposed in the wheel well of the ute's tub. I was told that the install was done correctly and in accordance with LRA instructions, but I wonder if this is a problem as stones can damage these lines.

Can anyone comment?
