Trying to plan an early July visit. Can anyone update me on road conditions and
campsite facilities on the Cooper.

Shouldn't bother Chris but this part of the DPB is outdated (as the bulletin's covid link will show):
"All travellers should download the mySA GOV app from Google Play or the App Store before travelling to South Australia. You are required to use the COVID Safe Check-In whenever you enter a business or premises displaying an approved QR code. If you do not have a smartphone, you must complete a manual check-in."
Check-in is now only required in a rare cases. Masks are still required on public transport.
We recently returned from a visit to Adelaide/environs and KI and found pretty much the same relaxed conditions/attitudes applied in SA/NSW and Vic.

Bazooka
Where did you find that very outdated information?
QR code check in was removed around Christmas last year here in South Australia

It's in the May Deserts Parks Bulletin link Stephen. Obvious oversight. They do say to check the latest and provide a link though.
Got a bit of a shock as we checked the covid rules before our trip but as you'd expect we tuned out during the week we were in SA.

Who ever writes their reports needs to find a new job, for giving out totally false information

Bit harsh mate, but outdated/inaccurate website info is bloody annoying I agree.
Poor website mgt/QC is a growing problem ime. Means lots of double and triple checking is often required - and I'm not talking only about the complex and ever evolving info about covid.
