I've created a personal trek that includes an ExplorOz Trek. When I want to view the details of the ExplorOz Trek by tapping on the map I only see my personal trek details because it is over the top of the other one. Is there some way to filter out personal
treks so I can see the non-personal one?

I haven't investigated this myself, but I think the answer is in Folders.
I think you can place your personal Trek in a folder, and then choose whether or not to display the folder contents.
Would appreciate more experienced user comment. In the meantime perhaps you can experiment.
Cheers

Thanks for your reply. I put my personal trek into a folder then unticked All Folders but unfortunately my trek is still visible.

I've been playing with this to try to figure out an answer for you.
I placed a personal trek in a folder containing only that trek. I have found:
1 If you have
Treks turned OFF in Map Layers, you can display or not display your personal trek by choosing to display or not display the folder.
2 If you have
Treks turned ON in map layers, that folder switch doesn't work - the option to display or not display the trek in the folder is over-ridden by the Display All
Treks in Map Layers and your personal trek will display over the EO trek.
3 After a bit of experimentation I found this could possibly work for you:
(a) Place the EO trek in a folder of its own
(b) Place the personal trek in a folder of its own
(c) Now in the map layers untick All
Treks. You can then use the folder control in Map Layers to display either the EO trek, your trek, or both.
(d) If you switch off your personal trek and switch on the EO trek (via the folders option in Map Layers), your personal trek will still overlay the EO trek but will not be interactive, so that when you click on the trek line it will be the EO trek that responds.
(e) Likewise, if you switch off the EO trek and switch on your personal trek it will be the personal trek that responds when you click the line.
Note: If both are switched on it seems the personal trek takes precedence and is responsive, which is what you have found already.
Hope this helps.

Yep, pretty much the same…create a personal trek and put this trek in a folder. Then when you want to view only your own trek.untick All
Treks in Map Layers..then go and tap on Folders..your trek folder should be shown, tap on it and this will be the only trek that will be shown on the main map.

Wow, that looks like a lot of mucking around and not a simple task.
With the reliable OziExplorer, all you have to do is click the display track to see your track and unclick to give you nothing.
Or am I missing something?

Yes, Stephen, you are missing something. The OP's issue is not simply turning on and off a single trek.
The issue is he has two
Treks, one on top of the other. The top one is preventing access to the bottom one. This is an issue that arises because of particular abilities of Traveller for which there is no equivalent in Ozi, so your comparison is not really valid, IMO.
What I described solves his issue.

In fairness to Stephen and Ozi, I have to correct myself here.
In Ozi it IS possible to have two (or more) tracks that share the same line on the map and using the track control tool you can turn each of them on and off to display the one you want.
As always, describing how to do something in words always sounds more cumbersome than actually doing it. In both Ozi and Traveller, displaying a chosen trek/track out of two that are coincident is just a matter of knowing your way around the app and then a couple of mouse clicks.

Thanks FrankP for all the testing you did to find a solution. It does indeed work as you so eloquently described. Hopefully the developers will see the value in including a switch so users can choose to filter out Personal
Treks. Is there some way to submit an improvement suggestion directly to the developers?

You're welcome,
John. I had fun learning a feature which I don't normally use.
You can submit a suggestion via
the Helpdesk. Last item on the page.
Cheers

G,Day All
Out & about haven’t had phone service for a bit.
Another option would be to put a filter on the Trek that is different to the ex ploroz Trek filter, then just have that filter highlighted in
Treks.
