Just bought a 2010 KK limited edition.

On the top of the electrical panel in the gullwing is a 10 breaker circled in yellow?.

dont look at the finger..i pinched pic from web...use the yellow circle.
The wiring diagram in the book does not show the 10amp breaker. Anyone know what its for?

The electrical diagram leaves a lot to be desired. Some of the switch names in manual do not match what has been marked on panel either.

Anyone modded the panel to do away with the pop rivets. To be able to get inside the panel one will need to drill out all rivets and remove entire box to be able to get access to some rivets that are otherwise obstructed by camper panels. It will be a pain if you needed to add a circuit or check.

Any one re-drawn the electrical diagram?

Hi Richard,

I had the same KK, but I don’t recall what the 10 Amp breaker was for. I could hazard a guess and say it was to protect the entire electrical system for the KK. Even if you have a 240 volt 15 amp input, the rest of the KK wiring is most likely 10 amp.

Inside the switch panel are fuses for what the switches operate..so no it cant protect all as some fuse are 15amp.

Cant help you with the breaker. I'd be getting out the nutserts to do away with those rivets though.

Turn everything on and plug something into the power points then trip the circuit breaker and see what goes off/out. I found a diagram on google and it showed 15A fuses for power etc but gave no size for the circuit breaker. I am guessing it is the breaker for the whole system.

I have included a link to the diagram.

Diagram found on internet

as I said above..the 10amp breaker cant be for entire system...you dont fit a 15amp fuse after a 10amp breaker other protection device such as fuse.

And you dont load a circuit up in an attempt to trip a breaker...its not a breaker that can be switched off...its just a 10 amp reset, so its protecting something..but what?

Sorry didn't explain it as clearly as possible.

I didn't mean load it up to trip stage just, just see what is still working after you manually push the test button of the CB. Then you will know what it is being used for.

According to that schematic, the breaker is on the incoming CHARGE line to the battery, and not related to outgoing/load circuits.

Also it appears to be a typical panel-mounted push-button breaker which you can't just open. It remains closed until tripped, then it is push-to-reset (close).

Just my 2c worth.

is that 240V or 12volt...or is that solar?. I say this as the dcdc charge cable size is recommended as having to be 30amp for dcdc battery charger,

That CB on the charge line is definitely 12V. See the schematic - on the 7-pin trailer connector, taking the feed from the tug.

I can only comment on the one that Dickie-Leg linked. On that it is 12V, which I'm sure your Anderson would also be in a 12V tug. There's no charging control shown so it is simply straight from the tug's system (unless there's a DC-DC charger in the tug, which is NOT a smart location).

I think you can get into the box by removing the screws at the back, from inside the front boot.

nah...its all pop riveted...I have checked that out thoroughly

only way in is to drill out 6 pops from front storage and then drill out pops on side panels to release front cover. You need to drill out the 6 pops for entire box to be removed to gain access to a pop that is covered by camper construction....no other way into it. There is a possibility that one could chisel of that head of obstructed pop but you run the risk of damaging the box and you will never get a pop back in or screw for that hole.

Hi Shane,

I was thinking the same thing, but like you, it has been too long since I had my KK to remember, so did not mention it earlier. There was also a pressurising fan in the box for the fridge, it may also be connected to that, however from the wiring diagram provided by Dick, it would appear that this beaker is on the incoming feed from the car.

Hi Macca,

I'm not convinced that breaker is the one as shown in the in the diagram. Pretty sure there was another resettable breaker in the off side box also - which I think may be the one in the diagram its also linked to the trickle charge panel on the front box.
Pretty sure that every thing in that control panel is fed from the fuse block under the left side of the bed where the dc-dc charger is. Too many moons ago to be certain.
As suggested I would contact KK.

Shane
