I've seen a couple with the smaller 1gg engine. Check out magazines like Fast Fours, Zoom etc.. for plenty of info on similar projects and ads for
places that can help with parts and advice.

Sounds like it'd be a tad faster than the ol'e Fender ... then again a snail with the trots would give it a run for the money..;-))
How about all the bits that get the grunt to the ground ... are they up to the job ??
Cheers

I Probably should have said a bit more about my car it has ARB airlockers front and rear which are much stronger than your standard diffs 2 1/2 in supspension lift and am unfortunately only running 31in bfg mud tyres as i didnt have the cash for both tyres and lift at the same time and as for the gearbox?transfercase? no idea how strong they are. I really just wanted some advice off someone who has done the conversion and what they think of it eg fuel eff mods needed to fit the engine the what to do and what not to do etc
any input greatly appreciated!

There are a couple of hiluxes in
Perth with the 1JZGTE (2.5L turbo) engine. It looked a tight fit and a fair bit of heart ache & pain to fit. Lethal on the road and I suspect would be difficult to get through inspection. The V6 conversion looks far easier.
