Are there any versions of ExploreOz that are compatible with a MacBook Air (i5)?
Or any suggestions for alternate navigation app (Australia) to migrate Oziexlorer data into
I am hoping to move to ExploreOz but it doesn't look promising as the App Store indicates my Mac is not compatible with the latest ExploerOz app:-(

In answer to your first question - no, there is not a version of the app that is compatible with your MacBook. The only Apple devices that run Traveller are iPhone and iPad. HOWEVER you can plan routes etc in the free on-line version of Traveller that runs through your browser (Chrome, Edge and Opera only). You can do everything except navigate - the on-line version does not support GPS. To access it you must be a Traveller user and have a Member account.
Re your second question, if you're looking for an app to run OziExplorer maps on Apple devices I can't help you with that definitively. You may find some help
here, on Whirlpool.
If you find a solution to Q#2 in the Whirlpool link, then the obvious thing to do would be buy an iPad (I like to spend other people's money LOL). That way you keep all your devices in the Apple stable and get to run Traveller AND maps in Ozi format. Or, if you're happy with a small screen, use your iPhone. (I presume you're an iPhone user.)
If Whirlpool and other sources don't give you the answer you need to Q#2, then I think the only option would be an Android device just for navigation. It need not be expensive. That will allow you to run the Android version of Traveller plus the native OziExplorer app. Obvious disadvantage is compatibility issues with your Apple devices but if you confine its use to navigation then that may not be such a problem.

Thanks for confirming my initial research Frank.
I've been an Oziexplorer user for years with windows desktop and android phones and tablet. I have many track plots and waypoints from OziExplorer environment and was hoping I could use my existing MacBook during our next trip for "in-field" mapping work (including importing some of my track plots and waypoints from OziExplorer into ExploreOz. I was optimistic that I'd be able to move to ExploreOZ and do this but no, life isn't being that easy (wrong processor in my Mac( :-(
Back to the drawing boards with a status quo for our next trip (no in-field navigation work). More time for contemplating navel fluff:-)

Do you still have your Windows and/or Android gear? If so you can run Ozi, export your tracks and waypoint files in GPX format and then import those into Traveller - once you sort your device choices for running Traveller!
If you have the files but not the devices, there are also on-line converters that convert Ozi's .plt, .wpt and .rte files to GPX.
If you buy Traveller for your iPhone, and the
EOTopo maps, you will be able to use them FOC on an iPad if you decide to buy one later.

Thanks Frank for the idea of exporting as GPX. All good as far as using my existing stuff from OziExplorer in ExploreOz:-)
Resigned myself to not using the Mac for in-field navigation management:-( A bit of a bummer but life's never perfect....just close to it when in the bush:-)

Memory Map runs on PC, Mac, IOS, and Android. You pay for the maps once across all platforms and the software is free. You can bring your tracks etc across as GPX or use GBS babel to convert from Ozi

One option would be to use a Windows emulator (such as VMWare Fusion) on your Mac and continue to run OziExplorer. I've been doing this successfully on my MacBook Air for years.

Further to Peter's post, you could also run a Windows copy of Traveller, or use an Android emulator for your Mac and then you could run the Android versions of both Ozi and Traveller.
Cheers
