Good morning all 200 series owners,
We have recently brought a 200 vx Landcruiser,2016 and I have been trying to get the map system upgraded on it to a more modern mapping system. I have been to Toyota, and they have told me that the system that they have got only goes to 2019, which in my opinion is a bit dated, and they have now stopped the card system but they can supply a 2019 at a cost of $400.00, which I find is very exorbitant, The cruiser is a 2016 model, and I think I may have to change the whole system and I have had a look at the Vimeo system.
Now my question is this actually 2 Questions.
1 Has any one else changed to the Vimeo system for the Landcruiser.
2. is it a practical solution for my problem.
all responses gratefully received, or any other solution to my problem gratefully accepted

Hi,
I have a 2018 VX 200 and have added the integrated system from AdvancedICE in Qld. This gives me a choice of three navigation systems:
1. The original Toyota street nav.
2. A vastly better street nav from iGo.
3. Full HEMA mapping for off-road nav and touring.
Vehicle still looks completely "factory". The AdvancedICE system is switched on by "long-pressing" the standard NAV button.
A bit expensive but worth it IMO.

Check out Vhedia products, Broodie. They have one for 200’s, as
well as other Toyota models.
We have one in our 79 series and it goes alright with Traveller & Hema. Not cheap at around $898, but heaps cheaper than a similar Alpine product.

Broodie,
No, the AdvancedICE system cannot use EO maps. The off-road nav uses OziExplorer and I think it is running on a customised Android platform. You don't see the operating system at all. On the first start-up, the NAV long-press brings up a screen with two large icons (one for Street Nav and one for OffRoad Nav). Subsequent start-ups load the nav system that you last used. Both forms though have an exit button to return you to the two large icons.
I have asked AdvancedICE about the possibility of replacing OziExplorer with
ExplorOZ Traveller. They advised that are looking at this, but have not made any progress as yet.

This is standard igo software, available in navman, brings up the on and offroad map boxes.

David & Michelle, Exploroz owners, have a 200 series with a Teyes Android head unit. Search for Teyes on the this
home page.

The Teyes unit is a good system, but....make sure you get one with sufficient memory, normally they come with 2 gig, and it doesnt take long to fill them till they freeze.
EC offroad sell a unit which is a teyes but it has 8 or 16 gig installed.
