Hi,

Anyone know of manufactures of a camper that fits on a ute (patrol or Toyota) based on the common Telstra bodies that are common now? Eg steel or Al body shaped to fit the back of a ute with a door each side, with all the gadgets. I saw one in an article on March's Aus 4wd mag that looks like I want.

Thanks

Austravel, was quite taken with the look of the one I saw just out of Tibooburra a month back with the two spares on the back too. They do have a couple of hinges anong the top which I thought would be unecessary. The box we have has a bus type hinge there.

You could click on the rig pic here below and see what I have in comparison.......

Cook's Bodyworks in Melb make the Telstra bodies. No good if your in a seaside area, the fitting rust, a mate of mine has one in Portland and its two years old and rusting. You need a wind deflector on the front or you chew juice like it's going out of fashion.
He has it on a Falcon ute and the wind resistance means that he can't use his cruise control. I call it Sherman.
