Hi all,
Thought Imight ask all you good folk to keep an eye out for my 80 series its probably a bit late now but I'm desperate. 92 std diesel ,white, rego Vic NES-845
fully optioned from roofrack to diff lock, magnum winch, GME UHF,Codan 9323 HF
programmed with all emergency frequencies call sign VKS network V2944,etc,etc
mostly new gear all set for extended holiday in Sept. It was packed ready to go away last weekend when it was stolen from the Melbourne Boat Show car park with an attendant present. I know I'm grasping at straws but I guess it is a timely reminder to all that nothing is safe these days and although the cars insured it won't go close to replacing everything. It will be interesting to see if my insurance Co is as caring and sharing as there ads, I'll be a victim again I'm tipping. If you get offered some cheap new gear its probably mine " look after it " for me !!!!!
Keep everything bolted down because its a S***house feeling to be in.
Cheers
Barry.

Barry,
Mate, I'm sorry to read about your situation.......I'd be absolutely devastated if it was mine that got knocked off. Luckily I only own a Patrol so nobody is likely yo want to pinch it, eh?
I don't expect it'll turn up over here, but I'll be mindful of any 80's matching it's description.....
All the best, mate

Mate come to think about it , I might have seen it , was admiring a standard 80 series parked on Williamstown road ( continuation of Normamby rd )

I noticed it had some after market black flares . I defenently remember a roof rack .

Thanks to all for your concern, unfortunately Erics lead wasn't successfull spent about an hour driving around location. Some identifying features of my truck which might help are, front of roofrack has the words "Cruis'n the Land" and courtesy of a Kangaroo two small dents down low on the drivers & rear side doors.
Thanks again for your help it restores my faith in my fellow man,
and I will become a member of this great site.

Barry, Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Hope it works out in the long run.
Heard a simple trick on this forum. When you park your truck in a public area, take the high/low range leaver and slip it into neutral. If the crooks aren't on the ball, it will slow them up for a while.
Best of luck.
