Ok call me stupid or whatever, I have a paid for copy of traveller with etopo maps installed on my android phone. I want to install the same on my android tablet.
When i follow the links to play store to get the app it wants another $59.95 to download it. I thought it was free to subsequent devices on the same platform.
For the life of me I cant figure out how to do it.

It *IS* free for subsequent devices on the same platform - for you, Android.
You have to access Playstore with the same account that you used when you downloaded it to your phone.
Sounds like you may have to change the Google account settings in the tablet to match those in your phone.
