Did a search and can't find anything recent.
Thinking of getting a couple of trackers, one for boat trailer and one for ebike.
Just wondering what people recommend?
Looking at Solid GPS, seems ok to me ...any thoughts please?
Cheers

I am using Solid GPS, there maybe better ones, but they suit me. The later units are now much more reliable and they are Aussie made.Solid GPS

I'd personally prefer one that didn't suck on my wallet with a cloud-based subscription service required. There were - and surely still are - trackers that send data directly to your phone via cellular network so the only ongoing cost is the SIM plan.

May be wrong here, but my understanding of these is that they are Bluetooth. More for finding lost Keys etc.

Interesting....thinking in more remote areas I would prefer a GPS tracker.

Bricky,, how’s the search going ?
You mentioned for more remote areas you would prefer a GPS tracker BUT these things still require access to the cellular network to inform you of the vehicle position, so no network coverage no tracking.
Good explanation here https://www.fleetminder.com.au/gps-tracking/how-gps-vehicle-tracking-works/

Bought a couple of solid GPS units.
Understand you can't track when out of service but will keep record and show where it has been when back in service.

There are more expensive remote tracking options which don't require direct access to cellular networks Wicket. Eg, from the same mob:

Remote Asset Tracking

This is how most??? private and govt organisations have tracked their assets/people in remote areas for many years.

Bazooka, Bricky might have some issues discretely attaching it to his ebike though ;)

Ha ha. Yep, tho I suspect many thieves wouldn't have a clue if it was hidden in plain sight. Probably think it was a battery extender. Cost-benefit for the ebike would be marginal at best anyway.
