New Layout, Views and Members Date/Time Search

Hi everyone,

As you can see the forum has had a face lift. We had received feedback about the length of the page and when we wanted to add the Views field this made the LHS section toooooo long. We believe it is much better now.

In adding the views field I also decided to make some updates to the database that runs the forum. Last night at 1AM EST I stopped the forum system and downloaded, rearranged the database and sent it back to the production server. The forum was back online at 4AM EST (yes it was a late night). These changes not only give us the Views information but also the ability to store and access the forum information by exact time. I also compacted and optimised the 100MB file.

The Members show updates since last logon function will show you exactly what has changed since you last visited ExplorOz. Even if you only go away for 1 hour it will show you only the updates in the last hour. Have a look at your My Home page and click on the forum New Updates link. If you are not a member and visit the site often this feature alone will save you over the cost of membership in your time.
