Hi All
Just a note to let you know that I am back from my 3 week whirl wind trip to the Great Sandy Desert area and back.
Will post details in the next few days, when I recover from the unpacking and clean up and the reading of the last 3 weeks posts.

Just got to say, Jeez it's bloody cold down here in Melbourne, 23 deg most days for me up there.

G'day John and welcome back to the "antarctic".

Look forward to reading all about your travels.....but not as much as I'm looking forward to reading about Baz's effort in the mountains recently!! LOL

Roachie,
If Baz is sick of snow you may want to suggest he heads further south west, 350mm of rain here in past 4 weeks, losts of good mud for those BFG's to work in! He may even buy those chains from you, win-win situation

G'day Rolande,

Sounds like the need for the chains might have already passed. I guess he'll be a bit sheepish about where he points the nose of his truck for a month or so, while he licks his wounded pride....hahaha (I think we've all been there!!!)

Yeah I don't know how you mexicans live with the cold down there.

Was in Melb last week at docklands, with the wind it may as well have been iceland, but then it's all relative, we don't have a winter here in the sunshine state.

.....sorry still getting over the origin trouncing.

John
You think you're cold. I returned on the 30/6 from 5 weeks in WA (incld. 2 weeks to the CSR/Calvert Ra area in the LSD), to the weather here, Max of 10*C - Bug.er!

One night at the Calvert's it was 17*C Min at night. Most days were in the mid 20's.

Certainly makes you want to go back - and ASAP.
