I have just talked to the parks and wildlife staff only yesterday for this track. It is open and closed depending on the conditions. At the moment it is open but the recommened calling a week or two before going incase anything has changed. The Lameroo Parks and Wildlife can be contacted on 8576 3690. Love to do this trip myself but hard to find the time!
Maps can be collected (and park fees paid) at the BP at Pinnaroo (24hrs) or the Lameroo Parks and Wildlife. They said that it takes approx half a day to do the actual track itself.

Just going by the notes I took whilst talking to them. They mentioned "camping pass". I guess it's best to call them to cfm. Not many free places left! At least the coorong is still free (for now!).

Ok, that'll be for camping in the Ngarkat park, be aware that if heading down the track from Pinaroo and camping at Red bluff which is in Vic there is no camping fee.

I think you find they have now closed alot of the challenging dunes off,we did the two years ago and in the dry fine but a any rain and it would be fun.
