I see Ford trumpeting that a
Ranger Raptor has won its class in the Baja 1000.
The fine print indicated that the Raptor was the only one in its class. I'll give it a thumbs up for finishing.
Cheers
Jim

Reminds me of the show awards (Golds, Silvers etc) on wine labels which used to impress me when I was younger Jim. Decent effort though.
Found
this DRIVE article which discusses the mods allowed.
Another article I just read says "A low-carbon biofuel from
Shell was used for the race, without any changes to the twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 petrol", which is interesting. Presumably something as simple as an ethanol-petrol mix?

Closest things to off road for most raptors sold in Australia will be a suburban road kerb.

Once the Ford entered all the other brands knew it wasn't worth competing against.

Funny how no-one mentions the Toyotas in a similar class that failed to finish !

Hi Gazz
A D-Max driver here, so no problems with Toyotas, Nissans, RaRa’s etc.
And yes, I did read that two Toyotas didn’t finish, but that wasn’t part of my interest.
Not sure if Isuzus competed.
Cheers

G'day Jim
I drive a
Ranger and a Landcruiser.
I have no brand loyalty - I just buy what suits my needs at the time and what I think represents good value for money. My PX
Ranger has clocked up over 300,000 k's of everyday hard work and off road use with hardly any issues - just hope the big cruiser can do the same !
I'm on a 200 series
forum where any mention of a
Ranger arcs them up and they bag them to no end - all while there are a dozen posts on there daily about how to fix the problems with their 200 series lol lol
Happy and safe travels - whatever you drive !
Cheers
Gazz
