Merry Christmas & Latest update - v7.5.10

We just wanted to ensure that anyone heading out for a trip over Xmas/New Year is aware that the latest version of ExplorOz Traveller is v7.5.10 . Please make sure you download this update before you go.

We are still in the office until Friday and not going anywhere between Christmas and New Year or beyond as we're working on the EOTopo 2023 mapping update so its full steam ahead for us in the office so we're here if you need us via the usual communication channels (Help Desk and Phone).

We would just like to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to all those that have purchased ExplorOz products and services in 2022 - your support throughout a challenging year is greatly appreciated and helps us continue to reinvest in the ongoing development of our offerings.

We would also like to wish everyone a happy Christmas and encourage you all to take a moment to sit back and relax for a while whether you go away or stay home. Take care on the roads if driving and be kind to yourself and those around you. If anyone is struggling this Christmas please reach out to someone - if you are a Member you can connect with others via Member Message, or you can even post in the Forum. Someone is always here for you in the ExplorOz community.

All the best for 2023
David (DM) & Michelle (MM)

Thanks guys it's a great product and the new version is certainly more than a small step improvement.

One personal observation is how long the refresh is every time you startup. I look at the data manager to check each time and all I see is whirling circles telling me there's a refresh going on. Whilst this is most definitely a first world issue I ask do we really need all that activity going on in the background? Personally my habit was to do a refresh once a month and weekly during a trip.

Thanks for all your efforts in continuing to evolve what is becoming an excellent product and all the very best for a safe & relaxing festive season and a rewarding 2023

Nope current iPad Air with latest iOS. Plus no artefacts I've blown every legacy item off the thing over the last week trying to get this refresh process to become useful. What's interesting/frustrating is the high variability of the refresh process. It's been down to as little as 35 seconds but only once. I just don't get why it has to happen every time I open the app

That’s interesting, I’m using iPad Air 4th Gen, have no issues at all, less than a minute normally, I believe there may be some issues with some Android devices.

Can I suggest you log a problem with the help desk. David & Michelle aren’t always on the forum, but they will respond to a help desk log.

Dear David and Michelle
Is there any progress on the Samsung s2 issue? I am going to have to update my phone and am thinking that I might purchase a pad/phone instead of just a phone. I want to stay with an android, Any suggestions?
