Totally agree. We run a 2.2kw Snugger in a 21ft van. Very effective and economical.

In my experience (purchasing for someone else), many of the 2kW units advertised on Ebay are NOT 2kW at all. They are in fact 5kW. And you can NOT turn them down as far as is necessary, even when you hack the controls.

When you look on ebay for a 2kw look at the size of the unit, if it's much smaller than the 5kw then it is actually a 2kw unit. I've bought a few of them now and they tend to also be a similar size to the 2kw Eberspacher unit which they are copied from.
As Peter said they sell the larger units in 5kw, 3 kw and 2kw but they will still soot up as they are similar to running a 5kw on a lower setting.
The only difference between a 5kw and the same sized smaller units is possibly the pump and electronics deliver less fuel and fan speed. Whereas an actual 2kw unit will run max at 2kw.
