Unless you are trying to heat a gazebo then a 5kw unit is way too big for the typical caravan or motorhome.
Because it has a bigger capacity than required people end up running them at minimum settings which in turn leads to the unit sooting up and then not working.
Most vans or motorhomes would only require a 2kw unit and even then you should try to avoid running the unit at low settings for extended periods to prevent it clogging up with soot.

Totally agree. We run a 2.2kw Snugger in a 21ft van. Very effective and economical.

I fitted a Webasto hydronic in the OKA some yeras ago.
It provides central heating, hot water and engine pre-heating.
Best thing since sliced bread, but cost an arm and a leg.
The new build will get an Espacher equivalent.
