Morning All,
I find the Idle Up function in my 100 TD LC pretty useless and want to use the switch to power
driving lights relay. I have been told by Toyota service people there is no problem disconnecting idle up. Would appreciate comments and also how do I get the switch panel out - will it just pop out with a little leverage or do I have to get in behind the dash (hassles)?

Just park in a city car park like I did late last year. Some lowlife will rip out your dash and then you can see how it all fits together. There's a silver lining even in that cloud!!
Seriously, I haven't a clue (and that may extend to more than answering your post LOL).
