It's just 3 weeks from today for 62 seconds worth. Anybody going? Wonder how the whales will react, 'cos it's pretty exciting for people? Could be 20,000 and it could be cloudy. LOL Possible tropical cyclone on the 8th could make the camping experience - ahem - interesting, but freshen up the saltbush after record heat this month.

I'll try and make it, but will only be a quick up and back
sedan trip.
I have been to the last two total eclipses in Australia, one in
Ceduna in 2004 and one at
Cape York Peninsular in 2012.
They are pretty awesome spectacles - if you do have the time and resources I'd recommend going.

If it's anything like the one we had in
Cairns a few years ago, hands down the most, literally, awesome natural event I could ever picture. To know the millions of km of precision for this to occur is boggling. Just need to see aurora's then I'm done.
Cairns was packed for our event so if interested get in fast as international packages make the pilgrimage as and no accommodation anywhere. Enjoy.
