A short film from our last journey to Tassie.Cape Hauy is an amazing hike 9.4 km with outstanding views. Camp at Fortescue Bay (2 wd drive access and must book a site ). The hike starts from the camping area which is suitable for all types of rigs eg vans , camper trailers and tents. Fortescue Bay itself is picturesque and good fishing if you have a boat.
Cheers Mike and Kendra .

Fabulous scenery isn't it :-)
For those unfamiliar with this area, there's a four day "3 Capes" walk option with hut accommodation (payment required) .... or you can do the other two capes (Cape Raoul and Cape Pillar) as individual day walks.
It is a spectacular area, and if you do Cape Raoul you can take a detour to the famous surf break at Shipstern Bluff - when conditions are right, big wave surfers from all over the world head there.
Tassie is a beautiful state, with many surprises!!
