Hi everyone- our latest video features
Fowlers Bay. Highly recommended if you like beach or boat fishing, camping and isolation. A very small town located right next door to an amazing dune system that dwarfs the town.
Well worth a visit. The conservation park campgrounds are an alternative to the small caravan park in town (also good).
Cheers Mike and Kendra

Arrived there in a sandstorm once. Forgettable night in an old caravan because we couldn't use the camper.
Will have to go back some time.
Cheers

Hi Mike
Yes, we were quite disappointed with the visit, but it had nothing to do with the location and surrounds.
We'll be back sometime . Just one of those occasions when things don't go quite to plan.
Thanks for the video ........ I do enjoy your laid back movies of so many interesting
places.
Cheers

We love
Fowlers Bay, its such a very special place.
Did you go out to the
old Yalata Homestead ruins and cemetry only a few kilometres from the town?
Great special video.

Great country, but I think you got the ID of
Mexican Hat a little wrong?
We have been camping there regularly since 1973.
At that time there were no roads to the area and the costal track was not there either. We came in from Corrabie through cockies gates and following fence lines.
Company cars can go anywhere. :)

Here are a couple of pics of "The Hat".
The fisherman's shelter is long gone.

ps.... I visited
Fowlers Bay once when I was 8 years old on the way to the Nullarbor with a group exploring caves there.
The pub
ruins were still there and the
Post Office was still operating.
Check the size of the sand
hill, then and now.

M & K thanks for the video, some truly spectacular scenery. Your footage of the dunes was very impressive and would make for some excellent photos. Can now show the wife and say that we need to go here and why!
Cheers

There’s lots to explore in the area, yet very few people realise it’s there
