G'day all, I have a 2014 GX 200 series. The mode of the aircon seems confused. When it's set on the vents from the dash, the aircon comes out from the dash and on the feet. Does anyone know what the fix or where to look might be.

I would do a code check first and see if any codes in the system. The system I assume would work with electronic servo motors for direction of the air flow .

Vent position is done on multiple shafts on the heater box. I may be one of the connection to a flap may have come off or the rod from the servo has jumped

Yes, each flap has a servo, there is a way of resetting the system, but its been lost to lcool.org demise...from memory press and hold ac button and recycle button whilst turning ignition on

Hi Tom,

My first choice would be to look in the owners manual for the operation of the Airconn. I have a GX, and you can set the air flow to Demisting for windscreen, or face and feet vents.

Macca.

EDIT, my GX is an MY17, so might be different, however there are about 6 different “mode” settings, plus the dedicated front demister button.

Have you ever removed the rear inner quarter panel? I did and forgot to replace a plug for a sensor that goes into it. It played havoc with the aircon, but that was a VX
