Morning all.
Just wondering whether anyone has done the following track.
I am in a Landcruiser 200 towing a 20’6” fully off road caravan.
The track is in WA and travels between the Great Northern Highway and the Mullewa Carnarvon road.
It departs the GNH, 8 km north of the Kalbarri turn off and heads east . It is referred to as the Coolcalalya road and heads to a place called Yallalong.

It then becomes the New Forest - Billabalong road. Billabalong is on the Mullewa - Carnarvon road around 65km south of Murchison.
Planning to do the track in mid October.
TIA
Cheers Craig

That could well be the track we travelled some years back through to the Murchison. All these name changes to what someone reckons they should now be called has got me a bit confused.
However, if it is it was a good road and well looked after and we saw no other traffic but did see plenty of emus.
Happy travelling.

Not been on these roads specifically but have travelled a few they link up with.
Generally pretty good outback dirt, depending of course on recent maintenance.
But obviously if there's been any rain about check for closures.
Nice country out there, particularly in a good wildflower season.

Cheers.

Craig, While I haven’t done this track (although it looks quite do-able on the satellite view), I have had to get out of Coolabulla Pool with a camper trailer after rain and that was a fun morning! My only suggestion is to watch the rain forecast when you’re getting ready to travel and if it’s dry go for it .

Thanks Pat.
Also wondering whether the track gets too narrow for a full width (2.4m) wide van.
Ie scratchy bushes etc.
Cheers Craig
