Looks like an FJ45LV. They were a station wagon with forward facing rear
seat and rear doors, so not a Troopy. Would be around 1967.
The earlier FJ35 came out in 1957 and was the first station wagon and looks similar.

There is a more detailed page on the J40 models than the page I gave above at
Toyota Land Cruiser (J40)

My mistake yes station wagon NOT troopy .
The chap trasporting for new owner said it was No 17 "registered in Australia i guess "
1950 something? Fj45 or maybe fj35 ..not sure . He was telling me the interest that people had in it taking photos and also some taking photos as they were passing . The person that was going to be rebuilding it had their work cut out I would imagine for a long time it was a fair mess and lots of bits missing.

Peter,
Yes, the first Wikipedia link is a bit incomplete. Makes no mention of the FJ45LV that I can find. But second link mentions it.
Nick,
Pretty sure it is mid 1960's. It has the small tail lights under the headlights.
Have a browse through the gallery for this 1965 FJ45 and I reckon its pretty much identical apart from being LH drive.

Terrain Tamer had one that they partially restored about 10 years ago. I'll see if I can find photos.
I came close to buying one from someone at Glendambo many years ago, but resisted the temptation as it would be next to impossible to source the parts required.
EDIT: Found a link:
