After looking at Eric's photos of Tim and Jimbo these are pretty tame, as most know the steepness is hard to capture. I want to thank Wayne for his recommendation for a course on 4WD and as some complain about advertising I wont name the company but anyone who wanted to know can mem mes or email us.

It was a great set up with great staff. As a very reluctant female 4WD driver I was prepared not to do it at all but with gentle pursuasion I joined the lessons and had a marvellous time. I even enterained everyone on the first steep downhill run as I flew down H4 lst gear but with the clutch in, LOL. I had not driven the Troopy before this, which is no excuse I know and I did everything except the log creek crossing, they kept saying they needed a name for it as no one had ever gone in and being a bit klutzy I thought "mmmmm its not going to be me" the Troopy would be embarrassed and never forgive me.

I drove the runs by myself and was told lots of females do this, and even better they have courses just for females with no male partners in view. So if any of you girls are scared of driving the 4WD, go have some lessons and you will gain so much confidence and understanding and girls its FUN. I think its been a well kept secret from us females.

Carolyn,
Great to see you taking a course! Off roading is fun, my lovely bride drives our 4by as well, we share the driving 50/50. She is actually a better driver than me, but don't tell anyone I said that! ;-)

Have you/are you joined a club? It's a great way to learn more skills, socialise, have fun etc.........

Enjoy your driving.....

Yes Thank you Wayne. Now the ladies will know all our dirty little secrets.

Like " yes dear I was going to try climbing that hill but you see the winch Isn't rated to do that kind of thing. I think it is better if we go the long way around."
or
"I don't think we will drive on the beach because the tyres are to skinny and the tide is coming in.better play it safe and stay in the carpark."

how would it look if she was better than me???

I don't think I would like to find out.

It is a Male thing ;-)

Sparkie(IE not Y) ;-)
