Advertising really works.
Kings are selling their 120Ah lithium batteries for less than 500.
So tempting but I am pretty sure my older Redarc BCDC 1225lv wont charge it.
If it senses my current battery at 12.7v it goes straight into float and I am pretty sure lithium batteries sit around that or above till they are clinically dead....so to speak. Anyway my acc battery is only 7 months old so I will worry about it in a year and a bit I guess.
The power of advertising.

There are lithium batteries made to last and lithium batteries made to price, neither will be happy with a normal charger. They need 14.6v on boost, and absorbtion, and no float. Its also worth mentioning that most dc chargers struggle to get those volts if the alternantor in your car is charging 13.5 as in landcruiser temperature sensing units do....

Just a comment on how seeing something 0ver and over subconsciously convinces you that you need one.

You're right , qldcamper , that's why they keep plugging the same thing again and again. It blots out other ideas and semi- conditions you to one idea.
And most of what is advertised is simply not necessary ........ but it keeps capitalism alive !!

I watched this YouTube review on kings vs Redarc solar blanket .. a pretty believable review IMO the fellow went on to say how he had produced the review over a long period . There really should be some sort of regulations that's stop these type of companies making ridiculous false statements.

I was also looking at selling my old roof top tent so I started researching into what it might be worth to sell and was surprised at people are selling their Kings roof top tents for as little as $200 talk about flooding the market with quality gear.. NOT !!
Needless to say mine wasn't a Kings.
If you're going to watch the video grab yourself a couple of beers it's a long one.. LOL

A number of years ago I got a two week gig filming ads here in Australia for the 200 series Landcruiser with a Japanese TV station . There was a group of five people who came over from Japan, one of who was a marketing manager for Toyota, who during the course of the journey told me that Toyota ( at the time ) spent eleven times more than their nearest rival on advertising !

Their sales figures, at the time, proved it worked very well -- Oh what a feeling !!!

They do make you stop and consider them , with their price and warranties V the price and prorata warranty of the much more expensive options they do still look like a viable option on face value if they perform as advertised

The extensive warranties offered by most of the “ reputable “ brands is more of a marketing tool than a warranty when you read the fine print
