Sometimes when planning a trip using the app. the app will provide a selection of ways to go from one spot to another. I have not found a way to change the selection to a way I want to use. EG going from Cameron Corner to Lyndhurst the way suggested was the long way round through Broken Hill etc. I want to go down the Strzelecki track but not an option. How can this be changed to do it. I finished up putting in a second town to make it do it there must be a way to do it. i could not find in the manual.

What you have done is the only way. A similar method is to create a waypoint. Sometimes when forcing a route down a minor track, the app will only use straight line (airplane) mode. This can mostly be remedied by changing to cycling or as a last resort walking for the offending leg.

Yes Pig, Google Maps can do the same, send you on a circuitous route if you don’t insert a couple of stops on the route you want to take.

Another alternative is to use the Measure tool to draw a planned route - your drawn line can be converted to a Track Log after you've dropped all the points.

To use the measure tool - turn off GPS Lock then click the "Ruler" icon that appears in the top left of the main screen and start dropping points.
