Cape-York,Gibb River Rd,Tanami Tk,Oodnaddata Tk... Will be heading this way next Dry Season with the Wife & Kids.Towing a Dove Camper with a 2.8D 4WD Hilux. The Camper is "on road", but will be moving the axle to under side of leaf springs to allow more ground clearance. My concern is,will the camper get shaken to bits , as it is only a stapled timber frame. We'll be taking it slow and picking the easy routes, Cape-York is the main concern... Wadda Ya think, should we take the tent as well ? We'll be well equipped to handle the odd brake down.

Make sure you have room in the back of the hilux for all the stuff out of the camper . Take a tent the new modern tents pack up to near nothing and dont weight to much.

Good luck

Did most of them tracks last year and if its "stapled together" I'd think that it will soon be "unstapled".I'd leave it at home and use a centre pole design tent(very quick to erect).Which ever way you go,have a great trip, theres some beautiful country your heading into.
